Etta James died at the age of 73. Her birthday was January 25. only 5 days from 74.

Dear Etta,

You were a huge inspiration to me. When i found out about your passing I did indeed cry. What a glorious voice you had and what a STRONG  woman you were. You stayed true and consistant to who you were your whole life to the public eye. You were comfortable in your own skin and voice. Thank you for being an incredible example to many generations of women.
